Adam is a Licensed Professional Counselor, or LPC. He received a Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of New Orleans. He has over 5 years of counseling experience and has been serving the Baton Rouge area since 2018. Adam has a passion for working with adults and adolescents (12+) that are seeking to make positive and lasting changes in their lives. He strives to make a personal connection and relationship with each person he counsels in order to provide a space in which they can express themselves and learn more about themselves. Adam has a desire to walk with people through difficult circumstances and painful experiences so that they may learn how to best respond to them in a way that helps them to grow and heal.

Adam has worked with clients through a wide variety of presenting issues, including trauma, depression, anxiety, anger, grief, sexual addiction, relationship issues, and spiritual issues. Adam takes an integrative approach to counseling and utilizes techniques from various modalities, such as Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Adam is also trained in EMDR, which is a modality designed to alleviate distress related to traumatic experiences and memories.

As a Christian counselor, Adam has a unique perspective for those who wish to approach their counseling experience through the lens of biblical truth. Though he is a Christian and works from a biblically informed perspective, he is sensitive to never impose his own values or change any client's beliefs. Adam respects the religious beliefs of all people and will counsel anyone who is ready to work toward individual and relational growth.
